What we had been up to...

Happy Grrr..eat New Year everyone, we know it is kind of late, but we are pretty occupied for the last few weeks with CNY baking and spring cleaning too ^_^. We managed to complete our cheesecake orders and receive alot of positive feedback from customers as well as friends and relatives who dropped by at our house, especially the Marble Cheesecake and Heavenly Choc. Let's not forget the Meat Rolls, they were a hit among those who tasted it. One slice is never enough, one large plate was gone within minutes. You will never find the this stuff at the restaurant or food stall, this one is definitely aromatic and rich! We are so busy until we forgot to snap pictures of the completed cakes and meat rolls :P, oh dear.

However we managed to take a picture of the birthday cake that we made especially for a customer, when she approached us, we are already full with orders for CNY and turned down her offer, but after hearing the mother telling us that the baby was born on CNY eve and would be grateful if we could make a 1st birthday cake for her.
Finally we agreed to accept the order even if that means we had to sleep less, we believe chinese new year is a time for family members to gather together to celebrate and birthday celebration makes it even more special. The baby's name is Eve, coincidence? :) The mother requested for an Eeyore & Piglet Chinese New Year Theme cake, but we throw in one little Princess Eve especially for her. Not bad right, for a beginner like us who never receive any proper training in cake decoration and making, so far, everything is self taught through alot of research and trial and error :P

Valentine's Day also falls on the 1st day of Chinese New Year, we made a Birthday cum Valentine Cake for this pretty lady who loves chocolate...and silly us, forgot to take the picture of the cake again. It was a Dark Chocolate Cheesecake, made from 70% Dark Chocolate, topped with fresh strawberries and a cute Forever Friends Bear.
